DAY 3 THROUGH COSTA VERDE

After a quick stop for this photo opportunity in front of Sugarloaf Mountain, we departed from Rio de Janeiro and set out for a drive along the beautiful roads of Costa Verde (the Green Coast) where mountains hugged us around each bend and the Atlantic Ocean traveled along our side the entire way. First stop Porto Real Hotel in Mangartiba, then Portugalo and Melia Angra Hotels in Angra dos Reis. Each resort, with their own picturesque views of the ocean, islands, and Ilha Grande Bay and personal and unique amenities to offer, surpassed our expectations by far.
Join us tomorrow from the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.  If you’re lucky we may even post some bikini shots of area Brazilians (or Cariocas as the local Rio residents are referred).
