First stop, Barra da Tijuaca’s Pete Beach. Barra da Tijuca is a famous borough in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, located southwest of the city on the Atlantic Ocean. Barra is well known for its beaches, its uncountable lakes and rivers, and its highly Americanized lifestyle. Being one of the most developed places in Brazil, it will host most of the venues for the Rio Olympics 2016!
Not far from Barra da Tijuaca we headed to Post 9 at Ipanema. Brazils beaches are labeled by it’s ‘postas’ so if you have plans to meet up with friends, you’re more likely to find them. Have a look and see if you can find us!
